It was a rough weekend for the Blugolds over the past weekend. Losing a pair of games to Northwestern Health Sciences University. The first game was a back and forth affair with Northwestern pulling ahead in the 3rd period and taking the first game with a score of 3 to 1. Saturday seemed to be a better game as our Blugolds came out flying in the first period, while the score at the end of one was tied 2 all it seemed that the Blugolds were looking a lot better than they had the previous game and looking to extend their all-time undefeated streak at home. Unfortunately, the team came out flat at the beginning of the 2nd and 3rd period, and after Northwestern jumped on those chances they walked away with a final score of 3 to 7 handing the Blugolds their first lost at home in team history. The team recognized what needs to be improved and are working hard to get better prepared for their grudge match against UW - Plattville next weekend. UWP was the first opponent our Blugolds played in their inaugural season, and after getting swept last year the team is looking for some sweet redemption next weekend! Games against UWP are at Hobbs Ice Arena on October 14th at 7pm and October 15th at 1pm. Come cheer on you UWEC Men's Club Hockey Team!!
